Isha, immersed in her laptop, furrowed her brow in concentration, her fingers tapping away at the keys. The quiet of the apartment was disrupted by a sudden ding of the doorbell.
"Who's here this early morning?" Isha muttered, setting aside her work and getting up to answer the door.
"Probably the milkman hoga," Ayesha guessed, pouring herself a cup of coffee.
As Isha swung open the door, her expression shifted from curiosity to shock. "Oh, surely-You!" she exclaimed, taken aback to find Kabir standing on her doorstep.
Jiya and Ayesha, peeking over from the kitchen, raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Kon hai?" she asked, curious about the unexpected visitor.
"Kabir! How did you get my f**king address!?" Isha demanded, her irritation palpable.
"Umm, it's a long story-Wait, is that coffee? I love coffee," Kabir smoothly deflected, strolling past Isha and into the apartment without waiting for an invitation.
"Wait, I didn't give you permission," Isha protested, trailing after him.
"Ayesha, make one for me too, please," Kabir requested casually, settling into a chair as if he owned the place.
"Sure," Ayesha replied, with an amused grin as she prepared another cup.
"So, what's the point? Why are you here?" Isha asked, folding her arms across her chest, her frustration evident.
"Because of the drama yesterday-" Kabir began, but Isha cut him off sharply.
"About that, I have already thought it through," Isha said, rolling her eyes in exasperation.
"Guys, here," Ayesha and Jiya announced, handing them their coffee.
"So I was saying, Kabir, I will marry you, but-" Isha started, catching both Jiya and Ayesha off guard with his sudden declaration.
"What? You'll marry him?" Ayesha exclaimed, clearly surprised.
"Yes, but let my bhai and bhabhi come first. Then we'll decide," Isha replied, her tone serious as she tried to make sense of the situation.
"When are they coming?" Jiya asked, curiosity piqued.
"Next month, and even my mom too," Kabir explained, his voice softening.
"Huh!?" Ayesha's confusion was evident.
"I mean, my mom went to visit my aunt and will be back next month," Jiya clarified quickly, realizing he had caused confusion.
"Okay, Kabir, so your mom will also come next month. So, the rule is we don't see or talk to each other unless absolutely necessary until then. Got that? No dropping by to meet anyone," Isha asserted firmly, establishing boundaries
"Okay, fine," Kabir agreed, nodding understandingly.
"Mr.Mehra Aap abhi jaa sakte," Ayesha said teasingly, a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Yeah, yeah and Jiya come home early," Kabir replied with a grin, before finally taking his leave.
As the door closed behind him, Ayesha turned to Isha with a smirk. "Well, that was unexpected."
Isha sighed, sinking back into her chair. "Tell me about it. Now I've got a month to figure out what just happened."
After Kabir's unexpected visit, the atmosphere in Isha's apartment felt charged with unresolved tension. Ayesha and Jiya sipped their coffee thoughtfully, eyeing Isha who seemed lost in her own thoughts
"Isha, are you okay?" Ayesha finally broke the silence, concern evident in her voice.
Isha sighed heavily, rubbing her temples as if trying to ward off a headache. "I don't know, Ayesha. This whole situation with Kabir... It's just so... confusing."
"Yeah, I get it. He dropped a bombshell on us out of nowhere," Jiya replied sympathetically, setting her cup down.
"But did you see his face when I said I'll marry but let bhai and bhabhi come" remarked Isha while looking at her friend.
"I know, right? He was totally not expecting that," Ayesha chuckled softly.
"But are you seriously considering it, Isha? Marrying him, I mean?" Jiya asked knowing his brother
Isha leaned back in her chair, staring at the ceiling as if searching for answers. "I honestly don't know. It was just a spur-of-the-moment thing. But with my family coming back next month..."
"Hey, it's okay to take your time with this," Ayesha reassured her, reaching out to squeeze Isha's hand. "We'll figure it out together. And Kabir seems to understand the boundaries now."
Isha nodded slowly, grateful for Ayesha's and Jiya's support. "Yeah, you're right. We can't let things get out of control. Not with my family involved."
"Exactly," Ayesha agreed.
"So, what's the plan now?" Jiya asked innocently
Isha took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "For now, we stick to our agreement. No unexpected visits, no unnecessary interactions. Let's focus on wedding next week and deal with Kabir after that."
"Sounds like a plan," Ayesha said with a smile. "And if Kabir tries anything funny again..."
"We'll be ready," Isha finished, a determined glint in her eye.
As they finished their coffee and returned to their respective tasks, both Isha,Jiya and Ayesha knew that the next few weeks would bring more surprises and challenges. But with their friendship and understanding, they were ready to face whatever came their way.
The week following the initial confrontation with Kabir was a whirlwind of emotions for Isha. She buried herself in work, trying to keep her mind off the confusing situation. Ayesha, on the other hand, was busy coordinating outfits and making sure everything was perfect for the upcoming wedding they had to attend.
One evening, Ayesha decided they needed a break from all the stress and suggested they go out to a club to unwind.
"Isha, we've been working nonstop. Let's go out tonight, have some fun, and forget about everything for a while," Ayesha said, enthusiasm evident in her voice.
"I don't know, Ayesha. I'm really not in the mood," Isha replied, feeling exhausted.
"Come on! It'll be good for us. We need a break," Jiya insisted, giving Isha a pleading look.
"Alright, fine. Let's go," Isha agrees reluctantly
That night, they arrived at a popular club, the music pumping and the atmosphere electric. Ayesha immediately headed to the bar, ordering drinks for three of them.
Cheers to a night of fun and forgetting our troubles!" Ayesha exclaimed, raising her glass.
